In the world of community organizing in York, Pennsylvania, it’s important to RUN before you walk.

That’s RUN as in Resources for Urban Neighborhoods. Welcome to the RUN program’s online “Resident Tool Kit” – an online resource designed to provide the tools necessary to communicate with, organize and empower the people in your neighborhood.

Neighborhood Associations can help you improve your quality of life by:
• forming relationships with neighbors
• building a sense of community and belonging
• forging a sense of ownership and a collective stake in the well-being of the neighborhood
• developing a strong, unified voice for impacting government
• creating an effective vehicle for positive action.

This website is filled with the resources you need: downloadable literature providing organizational advice and technical assistance; useful templates, surveys and forms; and up-to-the-minute information regarding training sessions and additional resources.

And all of it is backed by our Community Resource Coordinator, your own personal dedicated staff person.

So if you would like to organize a neighborhood association, this is the site for you. We are the catalyst that can help you make it happen.
